I eat my words…
Oct 20
Ok so if it wasn’t for the last episode of the first season I don’t think I’d even be bothering with this second season. So here I am writing a blog about it and I just barley made it thru the opening song.
Already the second series is set up with 100x’s more depth than the first. The opening itself shows Angelique and Nyx battling at the end. I don’t want him to be bad but we need a villian with a face. And well I guess that’s him.
We shall see how this season plays out.

Neo Angelique Abyss
Oct 16
I just finished Neo Angelique Abyss.
Here is a description before I start. Stolen from Wikipedia might I add.
The story takes place in a fictional world called Arcadia, where life-draining monsters called Thanatos plague the populace. The only ones who have the power to exterminate these creatures are Purifiers, but only a few exist. One day, Angelique, who is just a presumably normal girl attending school, is visited by Nyx, a rich gentleman as well as a Purifier, who created an organization of Purifiers dedicated to exterminating Thanatos. Nyx is interested in the potential power she possesses and invites her to join his organization, but she refuses since she wants to become a doctor, like her father. However, when her school is later attacked by Thanatos, she ends up activating her powers in her wanting to protect those in danger. After purifying the creature, she finds out she has a unique purifying power, and that she is the one that has been foretold in legends, the “Queen’s Egg”. It is then that her journey begins, and she becomes the only female Purifier in the world.
The entire 13 episodes are pretty boring with very slow character development. The story is only focused on the plot at first and telling the story as to what Thanatos are, were they come from and how to destroy them. It’s not real apparent the relationship Angelique has with Rayne since she seems to be closest to him when it comes to likeing him. At first it seems that the relationship with Nyx is the one moving forward in a romantic sense but on the last episode at the end we see well that turns out not to be the case. The anime ends with a “What the fuck, it just ended!”. Angelique, well she’s a very boring person, nice yes, but she doesn’t really have any struggles with her powers and seems to always save the day magicly with no strain and no apparent real stress. The very last episode is the only real sort of character development we see in her.

Most girls are crazy about jewelry, but not Anise Yamamoto. Not since her father gave her a rose choker as a child, claiming it was a protective amulet which would safeguard her from harm; however, if she ever took it off (a feat easier said than done!), she would be afflicted by a “punishment” of some sort- not like it matters to her, since the attention it attracts around school from faculty and students alike isn’t something she’s particularly fond of. But after a certain incident causes the choker to disappear, she realizes that this punishment her father spoke of might have been a bit more than she bargained for!
